Submissions

  1. This journal publishes one issue on a specific topic each year. The topic will be announced in the “About the Journal” section of this website. We welcome original academic paper that has never been published. Chinese manuscript is limited to 20,000 characters while English manuscript is limited to 15,000 words, including footnotes. This journal also accepts book reviews of not more than 3,000 characters in Chinese or 2,500 words in English.

  2. The electronic version of this journal is uploaded to the Centre for Catholic Studies’ website at the end of each year. The deadline for paper submission is June of the same year. Submission of book reviews is accepted throughout the year.

  3. For submissions, please provide electronic files in “Word document” format, along with: 1) Chinese and English titles; 2) Chinese and English abstracts of not more than 300 words; 3) No more than five keywords in Chinese and English; 4) Bibliography; 5) A brief introduction of the author, including Chinese and English names, affiliation, job title, mailing address, telephone number and email address.

  4. This journal adopts a peer-review system. After review by the editor of the Centre, the paper will be reviewed by two anonymous reviewers. For manuscripts that have been reviewed and approved, the paper’s format must be revised according to the style of this journal (please refer to the PDF file here), and the final version should be provided in “Word” format. This journal reserves the right to modify the manuscript. If you do not want to make changes, please indicate when submitting the manuscript.

  5. This journal does not accept any papers that have been published or submitted elsewhere. Do not submit the same manuscript to different publications at the same time.

  6. The comments of the author do not represent the views of this journal. This journal is not responsible for the contributor’s copyright issues in the content (such as diagrams, tables, images, long quotations, etc.). Please obtain the permission of the copyright holder in advance. Please also send the photos as individual attachments, and the image file should have a resolution of 300dpi or above to ensure the printing quality.

  7. No fee is paid for submissions, and the copyright belongs to this journal. However, the Centre will publish a limited number of the print edition to the authors as a token of thanks.
