Leo D. Lefebure, an expert in Buddhist-Christian studies and interreligious dialogue, is the inaugural holder of the Matteo Ricci, Chair of Theology at Georgetown University. He currently serves as the president of the American Theological Society, is a past president of the Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies, and a trustee emeritus of the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions. His numerous publications include the award-winning books Transforming Interreligious Relations: Catholic Responses to Religious Pluralism in the United States; True and Holy: Christian Scripture and Other Religions. His books on Buddhist-Christian Studies include The Buddha and the Christ: Explorations in Buddhist-Christian Dialogue; Life Transformed: Meditations on the Christian Scriptures in Light of Buddhist Perspectives.
